I'm back......

Sorry I haven't been able to post for a week or so. Worked hard on some baby shower gifts and then went out of town for the baby shower.  My brother and sister in law are having a baby girl. So, I want to make her a name plate for her room.

Hadley Grace!  Can't wait to meet her!  So, with this beautiful name plate, we need a matching card. 

Time to get back into the swing of things and get some more projects started.  After all, I did make a couple stops on the trip and picked up new supplies.

New challenges.....

The challenges have been passed out for www.blacktiefriday.blogspot.com.  Can't wait for you to see everything coming up. You WON'T want to miss out. Of course, with new challenges means new things for my crafts.  Orders are arriving and I plan to check out some other stores during my travels this weekend. Not sure what I will buy or if I will be in the shopping mood, but a girl can dream.

Are you still trying to figure out the secret post? The gift is complete and the picture is ready to post, but I can't give it away until I give it at my nieces baby shower this weekend. Check back soon. And, as a hint, I am able to use the gift and card in a upcoming challenge. It worked perfect.  In matter of fact, it was kind of a test for me joining new challenges.

It's a secret gift!

This weekend has been very busy and I haven't had much time to work in my craft room, but this is a project I have to get done for a baby showe this weekend. My brother and his wife are having a bay girl. Hadley Grace will be the first girl for my family. What is that, you think she will be spoiled, NO WAY!  Ok, so some of us are girl happy and can't stop shopping, me I keep buying pink scrapbook stuff because I will be able to add her to my scrapbooks very soon.  Here is a picture of the first of my surprises or gifts for her. Afte the shower I will post a completed picture. 

Hadley's nursery is gray and pink. The colors are really fun to work with and I may just incorporate them into my album for my son. Pink isn't always bad if you use it properly. 

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

So, the new challenge is up at www.blacktiefriday.blogspot.com.  This time the challenge was what I thought was going to be very simple.  HAHA, who was I fooling.  It was a CHALLENGE!!!  But, I think the challenge was because there is so much that you could do.  If you haven't checked it out, here is the card I made for the challenge April Showers bring May flowers. 

Notice that I didn't use basic flowers, I just kind of threw some circles together to represent roses.  Not exactly what I was hoping they would look like, but it is different and I love the colors.  NOW, if we could just get mother nature to help us with Spring.......

Blacktiefriday challenges!

Might just need to get hat DVD out and have a movie night.

Pictures are coming!

Tiffany and I have been hard at work to figure this out, but finally I HAVE PICTURES!!!  Thank you Tiffany. So, can you guess what card I am making now?

Now that there will be pictures, you should see a daily post!  So excited to share my work with you and participate in many challenges. 

Who would have thought!!!  Due to technical difficulty, I am having trouble with uploading pictures.  Please bare with me while my WONDERFUL friend Tiffany and I figure out how to get these pictures to upload. 

It is a challenge in itself for me, but I promise there will be pictures and daily posts very soon.

FINALLY, I am going to get this blog up and running.  Not all the pages are ready to go, but I have the basics ready to go.  So, with that being said, welcome to all the followers that I will have very soon. 

The goal of my blog is to increase my creative juices and possibly make a business on the side.  While doing all this I will continue design for www.blacktiefriday.blogspot.com. If you haven't taken the time to check it out, please take a minute to check it out and possibly participate in one of the upcoming challenges.  But, just because I am a designer for one blog, doesn't mean I won't be participating in other blogs.  If there is a blog you participate in, leave me a comment.  Soon I will be starting other challenges to get the juices flowing.

Hopefully I will be able to post daily and participate in many challenge blogs out there.   Can't wait to start making a card each day OR night. Sometimes it is a late night in order to get that card made, but that is a new goal for me, A CARD A DAY!  Can it be done, I am not sure, but I am going to give it my all starting with tonight. Tomorrow will be the first preview of my work.
